: Nationwide Buddhist Lent is on the first day of the waxing moon in the eighth Thai lunar month. During this time, Buddhists go the temples to offer various kinds of foods and kits, such as candles, lanterns, fuels, and indispensable to the monks to use during their 3 month-long Lent.
