Songkhla is the
center of southern Thailand in many ways, such as economic,
social, political, administrative, educational, and transportation.
It has high tourism potential and has a complete range of
tourism facilities and services. In order to promote tourism
and public health through running, the province is organizing
the "Songkhla International Marathon."
Activities
:
This international marathon is open to runners from other
countries and is available in 5 categories:
1. Marathon (42.195 kilometers)
2. Half Marathon (21.1 kilometers)
3. Mini Half Marathon (10.5 kilometers)
4. Running for Health (3 kilometers)
5. Wheelchair Marathon (42.195 kilometers)

Songkhla Lake (Muang) |
| |
is
the only natural lake in Thailand. It has beautiful
scenery with several archipelagos at its mouth, such
as Ko Yai, Ko Si, Ko Ha, Ko Yo, etc. |

Samila Cape (Muang) |
| |
has
a white beach and a row of shady pine trees. There is
also the famous mermaid statue that is the provincial
symbol. |

Khao Noi and Khao Tangkuan (Muang) |

have
a palace on the mountainside. There is a pagoda at the
peak that was built by the order of King Rama IV. From
there, visitors can have a good view of Songkhla Lake
and the town. |

Tinsulanonda Bridge (Muang) |

spans
the lake and is divided into 2 parts; the first links
Amphoe Muang and Ko Yo and the second links with Amphoe
Khao Khiao. The bridge is 1.8 kilometers long. |
