Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya is an old capital of Thailand.
It was the trade and administration center and a focus of
prosperity for 417 years.
Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical City was recognized
by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site on 13 December 1991.
The city has a number of valuable historical sites and artifacts.
"Ayutthaya World Heritage Fair" is organized to publicize
this tourist destination that has been recognized as a World
Heritage of Thailand.
Activities

- "The Glory of Ayutthaya" light and sound show with imagery
(narration provided in English, Japanese, French, German,
and Chinese).
- Reconstruction of a market atmosphere from the Ayutthaya
period.
- World Heritage Site exhibition.
- Arts and culture shows of the Ayutthaya period.
- Stores selling products and other activities.

a research institute and museum about the Ayutthaya
Empire. There is a miniature of the old capital. New
technology has been used to display exhibits to enable
visitors to easily understand the way of life of Ayutthaya
people in the past. |

Chao Sam Phraya National Museum (Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya) |

is
the first museum in Thailand to incorporate a new style
of display in that there are not too many exhibits and
colored lights are used to generate interest. |

Chan Kasem Palace or Na Palace (Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya) |

is
on the bank of Pa Sak River in the northeastern corner
of the island city. Built in 1569, it is now the Chan
Kasem National Museum. |
