On the auspicious occasion
of the royal birthday of Her Majesty the Queen, homes and
public buildings throughout the Kingdom are decorated with
glittering fairy lights as an expression of reverence and
loyalty to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Around Bangkok, Ratchadamnoen
Avenue, the area around the Grand Palace and other historical
landmarks and monuments are adorned with coloured lights
and magnificent ornaments.
