Venue : Phaya Thaen Park, Yasothon
The villagers of Northeastern Thailand have traditionally made
and launched rockets of various shapes and size in the belief
that this act appeases the gods who will then send plenty of rain
for the rice planting season. As part of this two-day festival,
there are beauty pageants and various forms of folk and cultural
entertainment full of merriment.
