The
4th Thailand Golf Travel Mart, jointly organised by the Tourism
Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways International and the Thailand
Golf Course Association with the co-operation of the Thai Hotels
Association and Association of Thai Travel Agents, aims to increase
niche-market sports travel to Thailand and further reinforces
the Kingdom's position as a world-class golfing destination.
The 4th Thailand Golf Travel Mart offers a showcase of Thailand's
premium quality golf courses in Bangkok, Chonburi, Pattaya, Rayong
and Hua Hin, and features - a "Buyers Meet Sellers Trade Meet",
product presentations, golfing-related exhibits and inspection
trips of golf courses and other related businesses in Bangkok,
Chonburi, Pattaya, Rayong and Hua Hin, as well as a friendly Buyer-Seller
Golf Tournament in Rayong.
During the 5 day event, approximately 120 specialist golf-holiday
buyers and golf- and tourism-related media from Europe, the US
and the Asia-Pacific, invited by TAT's overseas offices, will
be meeting with some 150 Thai travel agents, hotels, golf courses
and other related businesses.
It is estimated that the special golfing packages being offered
will draw over 350,000 international golfers to Thailand in 2001
