"The Grand Opening
of Ranong and the Andaman Sea" features an enticing and diverse

of the event, providing publicity and PR support and the hosting
of a media fam trip to Ranong.
The "A Bicycle Expedition of Koh Chang … the Island of Herbs and
the Kayoo Fruit Orchards" scheduled for April 6 - 8, 2001 is a
key element of "The Grand Opening of Ranong and the Andaman Sea"
promotional campaign.
Koh Chang, the largest island nearest to Ranong, is gaining popularity
as one of Thailand's new destinations. With its tranquil beaches,
the warm hospitality of the island hosts and a diverse range of
interesting natural and cultural attractions presented by Koh
Chang and the nearby islands, this tropical paradise welcomed
approximately 4,000 international tourists in the past year.
The island is also known for a fascinating natural herb garden
and its prolific fruit orchards which feature an impressive selection
of over 400 different types of fruits. In addition to its importance
to local industry, these naturally existing treasures present
new and exciting opportunities for the development of new tourism
products particularly agrotourism.
