Lampang's Annual Elephant Satok Fair

Venue : The Thai Elephants Conservation Centre, Lampang Province.

With elephants being revered in Thailand, the Thai Elephants Conservation Centre was established to help preserve these majestic creatures. Every year, an Elephant Fair is held and the Centre organises a khantoke, a northern style meal, as part of the festivities. Proceeds from the event go towards a fund for food for the elephants and elephant conservation projects. The fair also features a spectacular northern style procession as well as cultural shows and music typical of the north.
