Note : In Thai culture, people would use pronoun to informally call other people whom they enter in a conversation with or are close to them as pee (พี่), norng (น้อง), lung (ลุง), par (ป้า), nar (น้า), ar (อา), poo (ปู่) or tar (ตา), yar (ย่า) or yary (ยาย), in order to express their closeness, acquaintance and respect as one of their relatives. This is a uniqueness of Thai culture foreigners should know. |
